What this is
Most of what I put online is work. This isn’t.
This is where I talk shit about the stuff I actually find interesting.
That means hip hop and pop punk. It means the 90s skate scene and the rest of the 90s that came with it. It means 90s country, and the alt country, bluegrass and Americana that’s happening right now. It means art, video games, fantasy, travel, and whatever philosophy and science I’ve been chewing on lately.
And it means Richmond. A lot of Richmond. The bands that came out of this city, the kids who skated it when there was nowhere legal to skate, and the years in the 90s when it was one of the deadliest places in the country and the drug trade ran up and down I-95. Most people who live here now have never heard that history.
No schedule and no niche. If something’s interesting, it goes up on the wall.
The rules I’m holding myself to
When a post is about real history, especially the crime and drug stuff, the sources are listed at the bottom. Real people lived and died in those stories. If I get something wrong, tell me and I’ll fix it.
Everything else is opinion, and I reserve the right to be loud and wrong about it.
